It’s been a while since I drew anything, and I felt like doing some fashion sketching, so here are the wedding dresses for Lady Mary and Lady Edith from Downton Abbey. It struck me that they are totally historically inaccurate and about 15 years ahead of their supposed time, but that’s a completely different post if you’re interested!
I didn’t draw any of the detailing, as it was just going to get messy, just the basic lines and colours. Any tips on drawing detail on fashion sketches? Lady Mary’s dress had lots of seed pearls and tiny crystals sewn all over the bodice but I’m just not sure how to get that down on paper!
