After having some fun sketching the Downton Abbey wedding dresses earlier in the year I couldn’t resist drawing Marilyn Monroe’s wedding dresses too. For somebody so famous it was surprisingly hard to find out exactly what she wore and who designed each outfit, but this is what I discovered.
She married 3 times, once as a teenager in a classic 1940s lace wedding dress, once in a dark brown suit, and once in a pencil skirt outfit (for the civil ceremony) and then in a blush dress for the family ceremony. I wrote the full details in this article. You can probably tell that I liked the blush dress best, that’s the outfit I put the most care and attention into!
